All,
Hello. We recently hatched two chicks. One is a cross between a Poland and an Americana. We originally
thought she was a she but today she started crowing...bummer. However, "she" does not have any spurs
or any indication that "she" will have them. Our rooster (Poland) has very prominent spurs.

My question is: Do all roosters have spurs ? I am assuming the answer is No but I am curious.

Cheers,
Skip

I've also heard that a dominant female will sometimes behave as if she was a roo. Never seen it myself, but that's what I hear from the interwebz.

Depends on the age of the chicks. My 2 month old roo crows but doesn't have his spurs yet. My 4 month EE/Delaware crows, but no spurs fully formed yet either. Maybe it depends on the breed of chicken. Oh and I definitley know they are roos because the older one Duke is mounting a few girls. Dexter the 2 month old is trying to but no luck yet.
