SQ calls and BEIs for sale... input on quality?

Once you are familiar with calls you can tell right off whether they are good calls or just a duck in miniature! The bills should be at most the length of your first half of your thumb... And they are plump, especially the males should have a fat head. They should all have the tiny feet...
I hatched out a few from my calls this year and by 4 months you should easily tell what the potentials are. And some of the babies are pet quality and others possibly sq from the same parents....

Do not feel bad, I recently purchased a baby itty bitty duck in a pen of bigger ones. Told it was a call. Just out of curiousity and 3.00 I got it. Well it is a cute runner duck mix and Huge..

Poo. Oh well... they're still gorgeous so I know I can still find them good homes.

Just to further my education: Obviously the shape is MUCH better in the more established color types (white, grey, pastels, etc.), but I was under the impression that it is a bit more flexible in the newer color lines (lavender, for example) simply because the type hasn't fully been bred back in quite yet. Thoughts?

Yes Lavendar is an accepted variety, at least everyone who shows here says it is. But around here everyone knows the solid colors (white, chocolate) win more than any of the lavs. But that is around here. Lavendar is more about just preference and if you like it than for shows.

Type is type regardless of variety. Sorry but your birds are strictly pet quality.
