Did you get your incubator working again?

No, it's fried. Wish I knew anything about electronics.

Buy a new unit, bring to a 4H meeting and I will give a demonstartion on how to restore an incubator.

I hatched these from Jen's eggs. I'll probably just sell them off, now.

Oh, well. Someone will be glad to add them to their layer flock.

All of mine came from Jen's eggs as well and we have yet to geta single comb. Hmmm. A "friend" told me a few minutes ago that she would send you for the cost of shipping a free Buckeye male. PM me for the info. That would give you a good trio.

Not sure whay you got a single comb? Heard some nice lines have gotten a few. They have dumplins, etc when that happens.

Thanks for the offer. I'll give them a good looking over, tomorrow, and decide what to do.

Finally, my garden is cut up and tilled! I thought it was never going to dry up enough to do it. So far I put in peas, string beans and pole beans. I have 2 small 4x4 raised beds with salad fixings already in, and I planted blueberries and raspberries. A few strawberry plants made it through the dry spell when I went on vacation last year. This year DH is going without me. He says no one wants to look after that many chickens and goats. I thought I was bad with chickens in my bathtub, but I sold 2 chickens to these people that had chicks in their living room!
This year I am going to plant a lot of corn. Does anyone know how far apart you need to plant different types of corn to prevent cross pollination?I want to plant sweet corn and corn to dry for the animals.
How are you doing with your gardens, what do you have planned? Deb

I don't understand. If you can restore an incubator, why do I have to buy a new one?

Oh, that's not what's wrong with it. The motor won't work.

Muddyhorse,
I hatched 2 polish bantams and 3 ducks from the eggs you sent. The kids are over the moon about the ducks. I may have to figure out what they are... all 3 look different.

The polish are adorable, too!

Thanks!

Thanks, anyway. I got rid of them Sunday.

I'm really sorry! You're the second person to tell me that, but I have chicks that I've hatched here, so it's not infertility. Again, I'm really sorry.
