I'm in it for the eggs, not the paypal. I can afford the shipping & i tend to recycle packaging. what i can't afford to do is give someone money for a swap of eggs... if i could afford that I'd just go ahead and BUY the eggs directly. if you all want to just swap paypal addresses that's fine, but if i join a swap it's to get eggs offered, and to pass along more eggs. so i guess if it's going to be a matter of offering paypal on every slow swap, then i'll just bow out and let you all have it.
No one said you have to accept a paypal. The point of offering the paypal is when your offer has sat for several days & no one has claimed it. Obviously, if someone wanted the eggs they would have already been claimed before the paypal was offered. In order to allow everyone ample chance at eggs, we should probably wait at least 2-3 days before offering paypal, or even swap page items as an alternative. I would consider SQ eggs as a DOUBLE SWAP for my swap page, allowing the person who claims mine up to $30 worth of items from my page. I would think a paypal offer would need to be AT LEAST that, if not more, to cover shipping as well.
how did 6+ eggs (minimum offer in the rules) turn into $30 all of a sudden? i WISH i got that much for 6. for my sq and heritage breeds i might get $30 including shipping PER DOZEN.
and why, all of a sudden, does paypal have to cover the cost of shipping too? if someone offers 6 eggs, the only thing out of their pocket is the shipping. and when someone takes that swap and offers their own eggs, again the only cost is the shipping. so if you ARE going to offer a paypal, offer what you want, but I think the value should be for the 6 eggs offered.
whatever you all decide, that's fine. but as i said, i'm not opposed to someone offering paypal. i just don't have it to offer. i do have eggs. lots of them.
but don't worry, i won't be offering any more sq swaps because i can't back up my eggs with money. so if anyone wants any dorkings or cochins, pm me, i'll sell you some.
