Square feather tips

So i have 3 different birds with these square saddle feathers. 2 are supposedly sexed. I was wondering just off the pictures and no other information if feather shape is a reliable indicator of sex? Thanks!

Feather shape isn't a reliable indicator of gender until cockerels start growing male specific feathers. These are long, silm, and pointed in the saddle.

I would guess the first, lighter barred bird is a male from these photos based on the barring pattern, but I could be wrong on that.

I would sgree. Top bird looks male, middle looks female, bottom undetermined.

ETA I sm going by the color of the barring, not shape of feathers.
