Do roos ever Squat just like a female when you go to pet them? I have a barred rock that I think is a pullet (22 weeks). Not crowing and will squat if I go to pet her, But she has a huge comb it even flops over to the side (comb twice the size of my other two BR pullets). Do ya'll think she may be a roo? I have other pullets her age, 3 months and 1 hen 2years old. She does not try to mount anybody or feed about.

Roos can squat if they are convinced you are the more dominant roo. Normally, they will leave the area way before they squat.
Is he cornered with no way to escape when he does this ? ? ?

My roo sees me coming and goes the other direction.
He has not reached the point where I am recognized as the dominant roo - - -
just a challenge he doesn't want to take on - - - .
