Hey everyone
I have an EE that is 29 weeks old and has been squatting for over a month . She's the last of 4 hens to lay and I'm wandering if this is normal ? The other hens have been laying for 6 -7 weeks
Tell me what you think ?

You don't mention the breed of your other hens, but it is not at all unusual for EE to start laying later than the production bred birds.

The EE that is currently the best layer in my flock didn't get started with egg laying until she was 30 weeks old. So, hang in there. Good things come to those who wait.

Also, you've probably already thought of this, but make sure she's not hiding her eggs somewhere.

Thanks everyone ... I appreciate the feedback ... My other hens are 2 SL wyandottes and another EE (all the same age) . I have thought about the hiding but I can't find anything in their run .
