Hi everyone, I am new to BYC. I have 4 Easter eggers. They were born in mid March. Their combs are just starting to come in. They are just laying around. In VA, it has been really warm (hot) but they have lots of shade and ice and frozen treats. They just want to lay around.
Aren't they still too young to lay eggs? Or is this something more?
Thanks for helping this rookie!

Sounds normal, and not the squatting folks are this forum are talking about. It doesn't mean they are about to lay, it means they are taking a load off on a hot day.

NP. I have some true ameracaunas that I hatched march 15th so they are at exactly the same stage as your birds so I know just what you are talking about.
