I'm not sure what's wrong with my little bantam.. it started with a sound like a sneeze but has progressed into open mouth /almost labored breathing. Every few minutes or so she has a loud squawk and stretches her neck out.. pretty uncontrollably and looks very uncomfortable.
She's behaving, eating and drinking normally. Her previous owner showed her so I don't know if she has been wormed or not. I have not wormed her yet... could this be gapeworm? Respiratory problem? Any thoughts appreciated! I will try to upload a video.

How long have you had her? It sounds possibly like a respiratory disease, such as infectious bronchitis, mycoplasma (MG, CRD,) or ILT. Coryza is also possible, and has a bad odor. The viruses, IB or ILT do not respond to antibiotics. Tylan 50 injectable given orally 1/4 ml 3 times a day for 5 days can help with MG or coryza.

Gape worm is more rare than respiratory diseases, but if you worm her 3-5 days in a row with Safeguard Liquid Goat Wormer, it will treat gapes.

Does she have any mucus or bloody mucus from her beak, or any foam or drainage from an eye? Here is a good link to read about the common respiratory diseases:

Thanks for the response and link. I've only had her for a few months.. there is no mucus or discharge. I started her on antibiotics today and hope that clears her up..
