Squirrel cleaning question

Quote:
The two resident gray squirrels on my property are routinely harassed by my chickens. No, really! There's one tree away from the others in my front yard which the squirrels cannot leap to or from, they must run across the ground and scamper up its trunk. Well, that activity catches the attention of at least one rooster and a couple of hens. They surround the tree, and you can hear that squirrel complain about the indignity of being treed by chickens!

Plus, the rooster chases the squirrel around the trunk, so I get a great view, albeit intermittently, of the squirrel as it spirals up or down the tree trunk.

Mwaaahaaaahaaaaahaaaahaaaaaaaa!

My mom use to fry them like chicken. Then make gravy bake in there gravy until tender. Then get you mess of homemade noodles on that plate, poor the gravy on the noodles and several pieces of squirrel on top. GOOD EATING. Oh and forgot she would also make cream corn and hominy with a tad of bacon grease and crunch up cooked bacon mixed in. Now my mouth is watering. This works well for rabbit too.

I work in the city and have had the city slickers tell me that eating squirrel is gross and of course they call them tree rats. Well I quickly put them in their place by telling them exactly what a chicken and a pig will eat. Of course I don't tell them factory chickens and pigs don't get a chance to eat such delicacies. A squirrel is a nut, berry and seed eater.

Mom use to make pigeon the same way as the squirrel, not bad but prefer the squirrel
