Squirrel in coop/run?

Well first, he is a young Cockerel.
He has more growing to do before he becomes that Rooster who will protect his girls and his turf.
So, sure up your fence hole with wire or what you were going to use.
The squirrels WILL BE back now they know their is food inside.
Buy yourself a trap and get rid of them as soon as you can.
Squirrels are destructive and when they are hungry, they will chew through wood, wire, anthing they can to get what they want....Food or a good place to nest.
Fall is around the corner so, they will be storing up for the winter.
Good Luck!

thank you, I will be making sure all the holes are covered. And hopefully, there won't be the next time. But my Orpington has chased a squirrel around the yard when she was younger lol.

My squirrel population went from about 5 to zero when I got my puppies and started playing with them in the backyard around the coop. But now I have to worry about potholes in the yard but still better than tree rats.

Update: Yesterday well the day the squirrel came in when my dad got home we boarded up all the holes. Today well this morning when I was getting them ready for the day and I was collecting eggs and took my head out of the chicken coop I noticed the gate opened and I turned and guess who was sitting there starring at me. The Squirrel so he was upset he couldn't get back into the coop ut he hung around the trees and eventually went on his way.
