Squirrel Pot Pie

Do you pre-cook any of the vegetables before you add them? Especially the potatoes and carrots. When I make chicken pot pie I add white sauce that thickens the mix. Will the squirrels leave enough juice in the crock-pot for gravy? I like those tree rats, but mostly have them with dumplings.

Squirrels are too cute to eat. Can't be much meat on them bones either.

I will try anything once, but I heard squirrels mate for life, so I always thought of them as being off limits. I guess I would feel bad for the lone squirrel left.

Seriously though her squirrel n dumplin's was SOOO good. Can't make it anymore though since Papa died and he was the crack shot.

There are a FREAKISH number of squirrels around here though... it's definitely a thought.

OMG... I just pictured my MIL's face... heck FIL's for that matter if after eating some nummies I told them it was squirrel from the back yard... you know, I think it'd be worth it just for that!

Get a rat trap, screw it to a 2' long piece of 2x4, peanut butter on the trap, you'll have squirrels
