Same here. I started on BYC 12 years ago. Then I moved over to TEG, BYH and SS.
Chicken math applies to sheep! I only have 16 breeding ewes and 2 rams. Just had 5 lambs. That made 23 sheep. One was a bottle baby, was leaving for a week, gave to a neighbor. Now 22 sheep. One of the lambs was a ram, castrated him, giving to same neighbor family when weaned, to keep bottle baby company. Still 22, but he doesn’t count anymore, so down to 21 sheep. On a list to buy 2 registered 4 month old ewes end of April , that makes back up to 23 sheep. Have a ewe due February 15. 3 ewes are due in April. If they have ewes, I’ll keep them, rams will lose their num-bums and go in the freezer. So they won’t count. Just put 8 ewes with a ram January 10. Oh! And a friend in California is bringing me 5 ewes in March! That will make 28, not counting unborn yet. SHEEP MATH IS ALIVE AND GROWING.
