Oh my gosh, tomorrow is lockdown for me! Time sure has flown! I don't have and chick feed yet. I hatch on Friday

that reminds me I don't have chick starter either... I think I'll go with the game bird starter this time babies do so much better (marans) they seem to need a little more protein. That is if they Hatch.. No strinkers in bator. Cannot see though eggs.
Have my olive eggers F-2s in there hope they hatch.
Just tooks 8 roosters to the auction. 4 which I thought were Black copper Hens . Must have had a sex change some place along the line.
My 2 old EE roosters (hatched from blue eggs father either spl. marans or rhode island) Miss them but have splash ameruacana rooster this year with my Easter egger. (all blue, olive or green eggs)
Shoot have to go to work grooming dogs. Summer hair cuts are here....

I've got my eggs in for Easter, 36. I am struggling with my BCMarans Roo, he's driving me crazy, runs at me every time I'm in the coop. He would have been dinner already, but my son wants to show him on the 23rd. I don't have a back-up for him yet, but plenty of eggs in the bator.

Had to toss my petroglyph egg. Looks like it stopped a little after Day 10. The petroglyph was probably a very minor crack that was letting in bacteria.

It was one of my bluish eggs.

have never had a mean BCM. All my marans are sweet hearts. did have a cuckoo that got a little cocky. I kick him so hard though might kill him. ( would have made a excellent roaster) He never even though of fighting me again. He lived to a ripe old age 4 years. he neighbors dog got him. I have his son now and he has never even challeged me, Must have saw what I did to his dad....Don't mess with me I'll have you for dinner. think I'll paint a sign and teach the chickens how to read. Post it over there perch....

Today is lockdown for me. I'm not sure when I'm actually going to have time to do it though! I may have to skip candling. Can't believe it's already been 18 days!
