Stall Mat Flooring

Is the dust from the poop boards from the material used on the boards such as sand or pdz?
I have been reading another older thread about poop boards and it seemed some people were having issues depending on the materials used on the poop boards.
I would really like the wall between the two sections to be solid on the bottom & hardware cloth on the upper half. I would hate to lose the view & cross ventilation out the windows if I put up a solid wall.

Thanks for the heads up! I know some cat litter that can be very dusty as well. We lived on a boat for a number of years with 3 cats and I ended up trying a lot of different litters looking for something that was suitable for that small space. I may need to invest in cat litter for the boards if it is too much of an issue.
Do your birds scratch in the litter/pdz much or is that not much of an issue?

Noooo...cat litter not good for chickens, even the plain 100% clay stuff.

Not usually, why I keep it thin(<1/8")...I have had one this year try to bathe there, SMH.

How do you like the vinyl on the floor? That is another option for me vs. the stall mats.
I love it, on floor and lining pop boards, it's heavy duty foam backed stuff not cheep. I got a deal at a salvage place where I knew the owner and she wanted some of my concrete leaves.
Tested what I wanted by bending back corners, if it cracked, it was rejected.
Need a floor to put vinyl down ;)
