When we first transitioned the chickens to outdoor living in their coup, we had to pick them up every night and put them in the coup. After about a week, they started going in on their own. Two weeks later, and this hen (shown in the picture) started laying on the ground by my son's t-ball stand, and waiting to be put in. The rooster always was in the coup, and left her to herself🤷😂 After this last week of picking her up, I went out tonight, and saw him sitting with her😍 I have no idea why she has reverted, but tonight, they both sat and waited until I picked them up, and placed them into the coup. I was rewarded with a happy trill when they were both safely in the coup, so I don't know why she wants me to pick her up every night. I am beyond thrilled that he sat with her this time, it was too cute!😍

It's very cute, but I'd want to figure out why they're not going in. There's going to be times when you just aren't around or not on time to put them in at night, so for safety's sake it'd be best to troubleshoot the coop issue.
That's what I'm wondering about. She is happy once she is in, so I'm baffled on why she has decided not to go in herself.
