Standard Double Laced Barnevelder?

I love this forum!! I am learning SO much. Thank you all for keeping this forum so wonderful!

I picked up this rooster two weeks ago and was told it is a Barnevelder.
Is this a Standard Double Laced Barnevelder?

He could be, but he's a little lighter in color than a Barnevelder cockerel should be, with more red in his plumage. So maybe an off color Barnevelder, or maybe some other breed or mix. Here's a picture of what a double laced Barnevelder rooster should look like:

Could be, that means he is not the right color for the standard, am I correct?
I honestly don;t know how the previous owner got him, now I wish I asked. But he is healthy, which is most important for me.

Yours is a beautiful rooster, and you are right, he looks healthy. Unless you are breeding Barnevelders and want show quality birds, it doesn't make much difference if he is a little off in color.
