Staple for Hardware cloth?

I used 1/4 crown staples by 1/2 inch. These were from a air nail/stapler. Have not had problem with anything pulling them out. It is also easy to put a lot in when using air power.

For our coop we used the tech screws with 1" fender washers on the post corners then used the horseshoe type nails in between that we had bought from Lowes. Everything seems to be holding out well.

We get snow and so we've seen that staples pull out over time. We used screws and washers to bolt the hardware cloth down. It's very strong and we did 20 per 3'x3' section. It's probably overkill actually. Ha ha

I use a hand stapler for phone wire and such. Normally I use Battens over the wire, cut on a table saw for the job at hand. On the tractors coops it is nasty to get snagged on wire hanging out, so most of the ends are under thes covers that are screwed down with construction screws. Very sturdy when done. I have used air nailers to put in trim staples, only 1/4 inch head, and they are the best, if you can get air to the build site.

I was planning on using staples and covered with wood strips screwed down. My problem is finding 1" HC local. Even the big hardware and lumber places don't carry it. Any suggestions?
Looks like I will need about fifty feet.
