I don't know, but depending on predators in your area, some can just rip the staples right out. Many people recommend screws with washers that cover several squares of hardware cloth, to hold it more securely.

Staples are not the best fastener for HC......unless you are going to cover the edges with screwed on trim or use 3/4" pneumatically driven staples.
You need enough fasteners to keep the mesh smooth and edge pinned down so predator can't get a grip with claw or tooth.
