I have a silver-laced polish hen who is 9 months old. Could someone tell me when she should start laying?

Are her comb and wattles red yet? Is she squatting for you or letting your rooster mount her?

I have an 8-mo old polish who just started laying the other day. My other polish may have started also, I have other young white egg layers so it's hard to tell. But I have caught the dark blue in the nest box.

I also just got two WCB polish bantams that are supposed to be about 6 mos old. In two days I have two eggs. I have no idea if they're both laying or just one since I have them in the same crate in quarantine right now.

If you're not using artificial light, then once there is enough daylight your SL girl should start.
