Started the new coop today (Nov 06 photos - more progress)

We made a lot of progress today on the roof of the run. It's totally complete now, with the exception of the corrugated roofing which will be installed first thing tomorrow. Then we begin to frame the roof of the new potting shed/hen house.

More pics tomorrow.

OK, got the roof on the run today and we built the first truss for the hen house. More photos next weekend.

ok, this morning I got a better shot of the completed run. Although I shot the image from outdoors, this is essentially the view we have from our bedroom window. I may get solar landscaping lights to illuminate it at night.

Greg,

The coop is fantastic!!!

Thanks for the pic of the snow! We've been 15+ degrees above our "normal" temps since August and I appreciated such a "cool" pic!

Couldn't resist!

As you can see in some of the photos, our home is nestled into a grove of oak trees. Fall has not yet truly descended upon us, and as such, nor have the oak leaves. But once the trees are bare, from our bedroom window we can see the top couple thousand feet of Mount Shasta throughout the winter. It's an amazing mountain - simply breath taking. That photo was taken a few minutes from here. I pulled off just before entering the highway.

The chickens are pretty happy in their run. Can't wait to get the shed done.

Great job Greg! So your chickens have that view of Mt Shasta too? Talk about spoiled chickens!

Redding is about 2 hrs from us, and we need some of that corrigated (ok..can't spell it) roofing done over our horse/mule pen. How far did he travel to do your work. Do you know if he's into more out of town stuff? We are having trouble finding anyone out here in the boonies willing to do the work!
