Starting a batch tomorrow 1/25 anyone want to join me? Valentine hatch-along!

How is every ones hatch doing on this thread?
Only the first 24 hours for me so I have a long way to go. Trying not to get to excited but it's difficult.

Anyone else have any other hobbies or starting to gear up for spring and summer gardening? I'm ordering my seeds this weekend for ours.

Yeah same here, I only set the eggs this morning so I haven't got a lot to report, heh!

Definitely starting to think about gardening, even here in frigid NH! I have some pepper plants already going under the grow lamps. I am on a bunch of seed swap lists, so I trade seeds all winter. You should see my seed collection now, it's ridiculous, haha. But I love growing things. :)

As of today I have 20 chicken babies (mixed flock, mainly black sexlink) in my only bator ready for a Feb 1 hatch.
I have 8 turkey eggs (they started laying 4 days ago and getting two more every day

) I finally talked hubby into letting me purchase another bator today so I can at least somewhat stagger hatches, without holding eggs for too long. I just hope our other two turkey hens wait to start laying until it arrives.

will be using one for an incy and one for lockdown and hatching. Best of wishes in y'alls hatches!

my duck eggs are doing well I started them a week before my chicks it looks like 6/8 are developing right now.. I think my auto turner might not be working. it was working and all of a sudden it stopped :-(... hopefully I can trouble shoot it tomorrow

I Candled again today because I'm impatient and 6/8 Rouen still looking good 2 I'm pretty sure are clears. 8/8 of the silkie/frizzles are already veining at 48 hours and I can't see through the RIR or Americauna eggs :(

I candled yesterday because I had to open the incubator to add water anyway. It was only day 2, so I didn't expect to see much. But I thought I could see dark spots on a couple of them, at least! Tomorrow I should be able to tell much better, day 4 is usually a good day for me to see veins and the little winking-eye embryo. :)
