So if I'm following correctly you are doing *drain-rinse-drain-tilt* twice a day?

I rinse and drain twice a day as well I have 14 flats going, feed 2 a day to 75 chickens. I’m only letting them grow 7 days now the top left in picture is 10 days. They love it and it does wonders for the taste of the eggs in winter.

*rain-rinse-tilt* twice a day. but yes. each jar has to soak for about 24 hour. after that its just rinse-drain- tilt because your leaving it on an angle between rinses to drain off excess moisture.

75 chickens now thats alot of eggs XD . do you have a watering system? do you rotate seed? and i heard they make the eggs taste better thanks for the confirm do they make the yolks darker as well? i have long winters up here and hate they dont get to forage any greens.

Only watering system I have is carrying the trays to the sink and sprinkling with the sprayer, when I do that it washes the seed around is that what you ment by rotating. Once they start to sprout it doesn’t move around anymore. It does make the yolk darker not real dark but better and the taste is excellent.

Oh I have just been using hard red wheat and black oil sunflower seeds this year. I was feeding the same last year but also had mung beans and lentils growing all together trying to up the protein they did real good on it.
