Thanks for your messages! I will go to a local feedstore to get the chicks. They will have the following breeds. I am thinking to get 6. What breeds do you recommend? should I buy each breed in pairs?

If I were you, I'd choose 3 breeds and get 2 of each. A mixed flock is fun and you can decide which ones you like best for the next time.
