Starting a new batch of eggs on 3/06 Who wants to join

I will be setting 18 eggs tonight plus any I get from my hens (not getting much right now). The shipped eggas are 5 Silver laced Wyandottes and 13 Gold laced Wyandottes I will post an update on air shel condition tonight also will be adding two more batches of eggs over the next couple days who wants to hatch with me and compare notes?

I got another 18 eggs today they are quite the mix Americanas some splash some molted some over easter egger hens, Dominique and some fuzzy silkied dorking over Araucanas quite a mix was only expecting 12 bought them off Ebay and she through in an extra 6 woohoo. Also should be getting another variety mix tomorrow there will be frizzle cochins, spitzhaubens, Silkies and quite a few more last time the lady sent me 23 eggs sure glad I have a big incubator now I will never fill it.

I set a batch of 13 salmon favorelles yesterday. Does that count?

By the way I forgot the other 18 eggs at work so looks like I will have both the mail order batches resting and then going in on sat.

Do you like the salmons? I've heard good things. Itried wyandottes, buff orps, and didn't like them. Loved my barred rocks. Have some of those coming for easter hatxh along. Love the looks of the salmons.

I really like there looks never actually had them I am not impressed the wyandottes egg size. The orpingtons seem very flighty but I love the coloring I have a mixed flock of purebred hens and personality wise I love my EE banty and the cochins. But I think the salmons are beautiful. I am going to let my mail order eggs start resting at work today. So I can start them in the morning I should have almost 4 dozen eggs. between those to batches plus the 18 I already in hopefully bator is a bit more stabalized by then also. How long have you been hatching eggs?

Only since january. Lol. Its addicting. I've got 39 eggs going right now. Over half will go into hatcher today for lockdown. Then the rest will be due to hatch a couple days before the hatch a long. I just bought a styro bator ffh had on sale for hatcher.

Cool I have only been doing it about that long also I had 35 go into lockdown last weekend ended up with 2 healthy chicks and 3 questionable. I hated my styro bators so I just purchased a redwood cabinet incubator. my two batches for the next two weeks got fried in my styro bator so I do not have anything due until 03/21 and Ihave been constantly adding more going to use the styros as hatchers also ordered another bator so will have to see how it works it only holds 48 by cabinet bator holds 624.

Id love a cabinet incubator. I just put 23 in lockdown today. Then I went to tsc to get a live trap and came home with 6 banty chicks. . Told myself I wouldn't amd have been so good about just walking by but.. they got me today. Lol. I also got an order for silkie chicks for late april early may. Yea!!! My first silkie sale.
