Starting a Poultry Club

I'm interested in starting a Poultry club for my area. This would not be similar to AKC clubs that have dog shows. No shoes. It would basically be meeting once a month to discuss the area/ resources, educate new owners, maybe have a list of swaps or meet ups in the area, but not necessarily hosting them, and just overall public awareness on the health and well being.Maybe also helping with predator awareness, coop design, etc. Eventually I would like to have guest speakers, maybe have different ones discuss meat birds vs layers, how to process, maybe have someone with the state ag come in and speak, local farms/ homesteaders, discuss/ show chicken first aid, explain common disease and illnesses, etc. I could see this possibly growing into holding events ( maybe like an farmers market with artists, local farmers etc, but be chicken/turkey, etc, specific)
I guess I'm not sure "club" would be the correct terminology. I'm not sure about the whole chicken swap along with the market, as we all know about biosecurity. Maybe something to address later. I know I have a hard time finding resources and can't imagine a new chicken owner. Also thought it would be nice for the community as well.
There's a group or so a few towns over but they literally just do a local chicken swap once a year. That's it. No meeting, etc. I was looking for something more educational/ hands on? And meeting once a month could help mitigate concerns as they arise ( for example: the weather, extreme heat, predator spotted in certain area, etc). Guess I could always make a Facebook group first then go from there?

Does anyone have something similar? Any ideas or suggestions? Am I just thinking too inside the box?

You do have nice IDEAS,, BUT depending on your location,,, and how many chicken keepers are active within reasonable distance.
Consider collaborating with the group 2 towns over. It may grow into something GOOD
You can start a Facebook group in your area. I'm not a member of FB, so no suggestions there.
You may also consider sharing your ambition on your State Thread. This way you target peeps in your closer area. Many State threads are not very active,,,, but that is only reflected by the postings. Many others drop in and just read. Worth a try
If they see something INTERESTING,, they will join in and reply.
