Howdy all. Glad to see such a lively community who specializes in Chickens. I'm sure I'm going to need plenty of advice while learning the ropes and feel like I'm probably in good hands around here (certainly beats calling my mom every day).

(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
I am all new to chickens. We got our chickens three days ago.

(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
We currently have 10 chicks.

(3) What breeds do you have?
We have an Ameraucana, Russian Orloff, Red Sex Link, Rhode Island Red and assorted others.

(4) How did you find out about BackYardChickens.com?
Google anything related to chickens and your are bound to end up here.

(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
I develop software ranging from life gamification to security/privacy/anonymity related social applications.

(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
I am a software engineer who is married with two feral children, 3 relatively tame pups, 2 spoiled rabbits, a handful of fish and a cat who may or may not claim our family.
