Hello, my name is Rosa and I recently purchased some silver laced chickies. I’ve wanted to do this for a while and when I bought my house last year I knew I knew I would be getting my coop. I’m excited but also really nervous.

What are you doing to provide heat for them? The first week, they need a spot about 90F to warm up and plenty of cool space. A heat lamp will be too much heat in that space.
You'll rapidly need a larger space. They'll jump out of that container in the next couple of days.
Just make sure the coop is large enough with huge openings for ventilation. Min. 4 sq. ft. of floor space inside the coop if they have outdoor access. 10 sq. ft. per bird if not.
1 sq. ft. of ventilation per bird.

They are in a storage container now and I have the heatlamp above on a shelve above them..wire shelving. We purchased an entertainment center and my boyfriend is sanding it for me and will apply sealant for when they are ready to go outside. I’ll be using the backside for the run and the doors will be for me to access and clean. I will also be adding a lock.
