I was raised on a farm with chickens and always took it for granted. My step son wanted chicks so we bought a few from the farm store and also bought eggs from a friend to put in an incubator. We set 40 eggs and 20 hatched! 7 didn't hatch but we're fully developed. 4 died early on and the rest weren't fertile. We have brown leghorns, black katana, and I'm what the yellow one is!! So excited to experience this with my son!!!

It's a great experience for both of you! And it's really just beginning! You'll find that chickens are much more than just farm animals!
