I love your little boxes and the flap doors. Bummer on the busted egg and lost chicks. I hope the hen does well with her new brood. I find if they are going to reject them, they do it pretty quickly.

Hey, would you be interested in one of those cabinet incubators I bought? I still haven't cleaned 2 of them completely out or checked them for full operation, but I was thinking of doing it this weekend and listing them for sale. Just something for you to consider....

Oh, I now have 5 hatched babies and the 4 week olds with Molly. It doesn't look like the 6th egg is going to hatch. I'll candle it later.

I helped a 5th baby hatch earlier this afternoon. It bled a little but looks to be doing fine now. I candled the remaining egg. I couldn't see much. It was one of the dirtier eggs when I set it. I can't tell if it is alive or internally pipped. It doesn't smell bad, so I left it.

The 4 older babies are now sticking to Molly like glue!

Molly is off the nest with her brood, but the late hatcher hasn't hatched yet. I brought it inside, boosted the humidity in the incubator a bit and popped the top off the egg. I was a little too aggressive with the membrane and it bled a little bit. I thought it would be closer to hatching but I guess it is a good bit farther behind the others.

I took one of my trays out and two of the Chocolate Orp eggs I set last night are laying on the bottom. I got the humidity up to 70% and I'll leave it there long enough for this little one to hatch.
