Sorry about the eye problem the one chick has. You might try posting about it in the Emergencies forum https://www.backyardchickens.com/f/10/emergencies-diseases-injuries-and-cures if you think it is an injury or needs to be treated. I've had several one eyed chickens in the flock, they do fine long term with only one eye, it isn't that uncommon a defect in chicks and occasionally one will injure itself.
 
It apparently came to me that way. At this point it hasn't grown worse and on occasions I will see the eye lid open more. She just moves her head a lot scanning for a better view and she tends to put a wall to her blind side often. She is ok to be picked up as long as you come at her where she can see you. She tends to do things carefully where the others just rush in. She gets her share of food and doesn't appear to be picked on by the others.

Well found another local thread so have not posted here much but an update on my status.

The 4 Delawares have moved outside into a small coop bought from costco

After about a month of having them we added 2 Buff Orpingtons and they are the sweetest things and love human interaction.

This prompted the issue of having to buy or build a bigger coop. I decided after looking at numerous coops that I could design one to fit my situation move the del's in and use the small coop to integrate the younger buffs in. About 3 weeks later after getting the buffs neighbors came over and decided they wanted chickens too so we decided to foster 4 buff orps for them too that way we could take advantage of the brooder situation and we would grow them out to about 8 weeks so they could transition outside for them. Also gave them time to prepare their back yard.

This put my coop on the back burner while I built a larger brooder to house the 2 groups together and get them out of the house.

2 weeks behind schedule the brooder is done the coop is mostly done and am hoping to have things finished by the end of the 3day weekend.

Just in time for the fosters to move out in a few weeks leaving my brooder free for the Cream Legbars to arrive I bought fertile eggs and a friend on the other thread is hatching for me.

Now all I need to do if find someone locally that can have roosters on a property and will let me build breeding and grow out pens because I am really enjoying the chickens and want to work more with them.
