If you still want an egg business, go with Townline's ISA Browns. Mine have laid 330+ their first pullet year. The outlay my Rocks by 30% while eating 25% less feed, because they weight 25% less in body weight. That difference is the only way I can make a buck with eggs.
I love Rocks. But for my business end, I go with production reds or ISA Browns, with NOTHING I've ever had touching the ISAs.
I could only base my egg business on Rocks if I charged $3.50 a dozen, which my local market will not support.
