That is just so awful. I was lucky with a recent purchase on BYC, but it appears the ones next in line were burned. Their loss makes me more leery.
 
I don't know the details of what happened (and I don't need to) but if money was sent for the purchase of items and they were never received you can file a mail fraud complaint at the post office. (Provided you used the mail to send payment, of course.) If they investigate and find the other person guilty of mail fraud they can refuse to provide mail service for that person....any kind of mail service......forever. If they are running any kind of business (or just like getting their holiday cards!) this is a pretty good reason to correct the situation. We had to utilize it when someone ran off with over $1000 of money that had been raised for a family in need........they were in a different state which added some extra charges, I think. It did take a while, but we did get our money back.

these were eggs trades that were sent and I got nothing, well one was a grown silkie that I shipped but I know they are not on BYC anymore, at least not under the name they were using.

How's the little man's tail coming in? He had some of the nicest green sheen! I managed to get quite a few very nice black and split lavender cockerels this year. I am waiting for their dang tails to come in before I start doing some auctions. I need to thin down!

Karma will get the rip off artist back and somewhere down the line you will end up with something twice as nice to for your trouble.

his til is still at that akward stage, I hate that stage you never know which way it will go lol, but he is beautiful and I thinkj the tail will be big and nice once grown in

I sort of broke my quarentne rule with him though and took him out yesterday as he seemed so lonely and healthy and I know you are reputable. Stupid I know but he is with his girls now and they are all quiet happy normally my chooks stay in quarentine 30 days or more but I just could not help myself lol

is he split or just black? his sheen is very nice I will do a photo shoot soon. I hope you are happy with the buff I sort of feel like I got the better end of the deal since I can see the difference in your boys to mine. Although I think he is a beauty

He is black, I toe punched all my splits.

He was in the show cages here for about three weeks, I pulled him out of the flock of free ranging cockerels because I liked him.

I won't name or bring up the person who ripped me either and he (under a new name) periodically promises to right the situation. It is so irritating for persons to steal and just plain wrong. I've pursued all the avenues I can. I've posted negative review for him in the old feedback system. Tried to cash his check over and over and over....He sent good payments for multiple purchases and then the bomb dropped with a bad check for my rarest of eggs and biggest shipment. I definitely was had on this one. He/His family keeps assuring me that they will make the situation whole. I'm prayerful they will be but also a realist....This has gone on since spring.

I've traded with persons who didn't wrap eggs as promised.....But at least I used this as an opportunity to share how to wrap eggs and I just count the lost postage as a way of helping others.

It's the scammers I just really get upset by. Well, hope everyone post the old name/address in the old feedback system so we can research as we go along.

Try not to let the scammers get you down. In the main, BYC is made up of the best, most upright folks I know.....

I truly hope that everything works out for you and the OP. A few things that have happened to me make me want to never do any transactions of any sort online ever again (with private individuals).
