I have an order of chicks coming from McMurray. I scheduled the delivery for Monday. Just checked my account & it says they shipped today & are scheduled to be delivered on Tuesday! I hope that's a mistake!!! There is no way they will survive a three day shipment. I'm pretty sure my post office doesn't get deliveries on Sundays even if they manage to arrive next day. I'm really getting nervous!

hopefully they hatch late today. give them save a chic with the water when you get them.

Chicks when hacthed eat the yolk and this gives them the nutrience they need for the first three days of life. So even if you do get them on Tuesday they will be fine. I have ordered from McMurray for the last three years and have never had a problem with them on arriveal. Just make sure you dip each little beak in water so they start to drink right a way. No need to worry. Also my post office always calls me on Sunday Morning ( the main post office) to let me know thet have arrived and I can either go get them or they will ship the next morning.

do you have a tracking number? you can track the shipment to see where they are and times..
Yes, but the email McMurray sent said it is useless as it will only tell me that they have shipped, nothing more. According to that they hatched on Friday & shipped on Saturday. Crossing my fingers they come tomorrow, since temps have been hovering around 100+ for the last several days

I was really worried about the order I got last week from Murray and they came though just fine. My husband and I made sure each one got a real good drink before they went into the brooder and boy were they thirsty!
