starving birds?

    I changed out and cleaned the feeder yesterday and today most of feed still there they dont seem to be eating what could this be.I see one or two just every once in a while grab a bit.

    Did you use any soaps or disinfectants while you were cleaning it? If so the scent could be sending them away. Otherwise they are pretty cranky about new things might just take them a while to adjust to something "changed"

    i used a little dish soap but rinsed several times a dried completely, I did however figure out where I had the feeder was a bad place all cant reach it at the same time so i moved it and they all ate like they were starving. So now at night it goes inside on the screened in porch area and during the day it will be in the court yard on a brick. I had to use soap cause it got wet and mold was in the food, I tossed all the fod in it first.
