Thank you! Why not kill it? I know it needs food, but wouldn't you shoot a raccoon if it keeps eating your chickens and you finally catch it? Because they will be back to eat some more chicks if you let it go, and they will prob bring some family and friends along with them to...

no, i wouldnt kill it. i would find another solution!

We don't kill animals. We call animal control to set up humane traps. My town animal control does not kill animals, they send them to refuges.

Did you ever hear the law back in the B.C. Times where it said "a head for a head?" that means if someone or something kills someones animal or family member on purpose then they get slaughtered also.

um, i dont think that applies to animals trying to survive, while we destroy their habitat and endanger them. sure, that doesnt apply to raccoons, but it eventually will!

That's a stupid law.
That reminded me of a horrible story in my town recently. There aren't many chicken owners in my town, but there are a few. This one kid owns chcikens, well call him Joe. There was this one kid who didn't like Joe, and he found Joe's chicken walking down the road. So this jerky kid kicked, yes, I said kicked, the chicken to death, because he didn't like Joe.can you believe some people? And then, another family's chicken got hit by a car. Yes, my town is full of rude, dumb people.

BTW I didn't kill it I open the lid to the brooder and was to scared and crying to take it out and the snake climb out and left,all was left was one dead baby in the brooder and my little sister (5 years old) that found the snake eating the baby ducks before I got down there is crying her heart out now,she really loved those ducks and even named them and all you guys are going on about is killing it?! Who said I killed it?!

I don't know if he got in trouble. I think he may have, but I didn't know how much. These are all reasons why my town made free ranging illegal. (even though some still break the law)

i told you not to kill it!!!!!! im so sorry about your sis! if i think of anything to help her calm down ill tell you! i used to know a few tricks from taking care of my baby cousin.

got lots of rude and dumb people here too the people who shoot off fireworks ALL NIGHT and shoot their dog just because it is barking, and the people who let their big aggressive dogs run loose around where there are a LOT of young children and complain when the dog gets shot in the rear with a BB gun, painful but not life threatening unless you leave it. STUPID PEOPLE!!! but some of them are nice and will stop shooting their loud shotgun at 8:30 when your trying to go to sleep
