State a fact about yourself!

sorry for late reply:
im sad because there are these giant nocturnal carnivorous rats that live next to our house, and the ate 22 CHICKENS! they even ate my black silkie, ThunderCloud! they also ate the Prince Rooster, Leather Head, alot of the Cornish, one of the best egg layers in the coop, Gooby's sister, my only Rhode Island Red pullet, and my Dutch Bantam's only friend!

Did they eat all of the carcass of the chickens? It would be unusual for them to eat all of the parts. I would set mousetraps around your coop if I were you.

when we used to have 2 black labs, they caught one and it was HUGE. they "rob" the chicken and eat them at their habitat. I know this because i saw Leather Head's dead body at the shore of the river. The rats swim. AND, they can grab the bait out of the trap because they have hands, and that's why we never caught them with traps. It can also be a banana rat, but i'm not sure if they eat chickens. I can't remember what the rat looked like when my labs got them, because i was about 4-5 years old.

..Crazy. You can set some mousetraps or build a rat-proof run for your chickens
