Had a rewarding experience today! I collected a head from a multi-head sunflower plant at the end of this past summer and today I was quite surprised to see that the four seeds I had planted in a pot (simply to see if the seeds were any good, it was my first time harvesting fresh seeds) had all germinated! In about 2 days! Crazy! 

That does it! I'm growing sunflowers this year. (If I can remember)

I have my Downton Abby on DVR, I can't miss it, wow what a crazy show. All my ansestors came from Ireland during the Potato famine and it was strange to see some of those old family stories of folks they knew come to life. of course I don't think any of them lived that well, they would have been farmers who had known the servants. it's just really cool to wonder about.. I was a teacher for a long time and I love even semi historical shows.... Susie Q We're two of a mind!

my sisters friend just came over to drop her off and her friend told me there were four eggs in the nest boxes. i went and looked and there were four eggs... four marble eggs that is.

No there the fake eggs that we put in there to get the pullets to lay in there, but she thought they were real. That's why it was funny. But I wasn't really thinking because I already got 7 eggs and we only have eight chickens. ;D

Got my chickens all moved in to their coop at the new house. I sure am gonna miss them... It's only 3 days, but I'll still miss them.
