State fair chicken entering what’s it all about?

so I entered in 5 of my hens in the state fair show! Do they need to be handled a lot also do you need to bring your own crate I just need someone to give me tips or walk me through it a little bit thanks so much! I deeply appreciate it

You will do great just start working with the handling and as others to handle Lifting looking over the birds you will need a were dog crate big enough shavings on the bottom you can take a cat scoop to clean out poo a few times so the judge doesn't have handle crap

This may be helpful for you or a judge to handle birds for the fair. Also Meyer Hatchery and I'm sure others sell a show kit for grooming, may want to consider right before the fair. My local county fair also requires a vet check 30 days before the event. Might need to take proof with you. Check on county fair website they will provide the category standards you entered to know what they are looking for.
