We had cage cups with food/water also. The problem was that either the chickens would drink all the water in hot weather then get dehydrated, or they would knock it over. Water had to be re-filled many times per day because it was so hot here in September.Many exhibitors keep cage cups inside with food and water.
The show/fair people should have given you this info, or you should ask them, along with requirements for any disease testing you might need to do beforehand...and how the show is judged and if handling is part of it.so I entered in 5 of my hens in the state fair show! Do they need to be handled a lot also do you need to bring your own crate I just need someone to give me tips or walk me through it a little bit thanks so much! I deeply appreciate it
