Go to Feathersite.com and look at the Runner ducks! They are SOOOO Cute! Pretty much a tall duck that looks like it is standing up straight! Have you ever seen the movie Babe? The White funny duck (Ferdinand (sp?) ) in the movie was a runner!

I'm not sure what to tell you to keep the ducks quiet. We got our 3 (1 magpie, 1 black cayuga & 1 blue swede) yesterday with our chicks and the ducks were the best behaved of the bunch! The did not like being separated from each other though. If we left one on it's own it would raise a huge racket. Maybe try putting a stuffed animal in for him to snuggle with? I noticed our 3 snuggled together. I just have a plastic bowl with feed in it and 2 of them slept in there together. I'm totally loving the ducks. They are water fiends though - I couldn't keep them out of their waterer. Luckily they seemed to be warm enough. I think I'm going to let them take a dip in a shallow tub tonight, just for the fun of it!

Yes! Ducks are a whole lot of fun, I have had many, but none this noisy! I think he is settling down now...I think it was the shock of moving from a brooder in a feed store with like 50 ducks and then to my house with his other buddy and 3 bantams! He actually like the bantams more than his buddy? Strange duck huh? Have fun in the bathtub! Thats my fav. part of duckies!

We are in San Antonio, Its located on a Street here called S. Flores! I really need to go back and get my 3 bantams some buddies now! I just hope I am not picking all roos!
