Staying on the ground at night

Every evening, our chickens go to their roosts for the night. Some jump up into a small tree then jump up to the large tree. Others find their way to the coops (3 available). However, I have 3 Silkies that always run into a corner of a small coop/run that I had them in when they first arrived to our farm.

I closed off that area so they would then choose to go roost. Instead they stay on the ground by the coop. I didn't like that so I opened up the small coop.

I have taken them and put then on different roosts so they would see that its a better spot than on the ground..... no luck..... any suggestions?

I too would keep putting them on the correct roosts.
Maybe some more roosts need to be added for them so that they aren't being pecked at.

Silkies may not be terribly inclined to roost. How high is the lowest available roost?

Make a coop large and well ventilated enough for all the birds....
....maybe with lower roosts for the silkies.

Tomorrow I will take some shots of my village .... created with 2 little tykes houses, two soccer goals, a crib, a store bought coop, a rabbit hutch and a house coop.... and sun block tarping canopy.... its a work in progress.....
