the only thing I can critique on is sun light. Will they be getting enough sun light down there?

here is a question...i wanted to do something similar, and my dad said it would stink...is that true? my deck is right near my kitchen, and when we have parties on the deck i dont want people to smell the chickens...is that going to be a problem putting them so close to the door of the house???
