Hi all,

I just did my official introduction but I felt I should also introduce myself here. I've part of the steampunk movement since 2007. That makes me sort of a tribal elder. I'm the DJ, MC and producer of the Chrononaut club night here in San Diego. Its the longest running steampunk club club night in the western US. chrononautclub.com. My wife and I were recently interviewed by a local paper about our steampunk lifestyle and on my wifes arm in the photo is one our chickens. For me raising chickens part of how I see steampunk. This is not as strange as it sounds. In the early days of the movement a lot of people talked about self sufficiency and using the best of technology both old and new. The costuming thing has overshadowed that for the time being but it is really at the heart of the movement. I talk more about that connection here.

Thank you, actually the person who I was talking to at the last Chrononaut was someone who has been coming to Chrononaut for a year plus so its not so unbelivable. We'll find out next time they log in.
 
Indeed we will. However, his last log-in was a month ago... Maybe shoot him a PM?
