We had a heifer calf born last fall; I named it Cash. Everyone asked why, I said because that's what it'll be in the spring!

Growing up on my Pappaw's farm we had a Black Angus bull named Hamburger.
We had a Black Angus cow named Blue Eyes and Blue Eyes was so tame she would follow you around - we got to keep her from the freezer! Well a few years later, Blue Eyes had a calf (not her first) that also had blue eyes, this little heifer also was so tame she'd follow you around - well, she, too, was kept from the freezer. All the other cattle on my Pappaw's farm went to market.
Sadly, Hamburger had to become freezer meat, cause the FOOL BULL HE WAS jumped the fence to fight our neighbor's bull and got his leg broken by that bull before our neighbors could get them away from each other!!
