Stunning, could you breed a few more of these? A purple egg-- omg --- how could I get a pullet? I can see I need to hatch some eggs...
Look at this egg. My black sex link pullet lays these, and I think they are so beautiful. She is a welsummer/BR mix. Yes, it really is a mauve color.

You Ladies sure have some pretty colored eggs !!

I like the olive, neat !! I wonder if can get any olive camo?? Or couldnt they be found in the nest???

The purple eggs could almost encourage me to get some that produce them. Almost.

Whats the combination of breeding on the layer? Do you have more? Are you going to make some more? Curious mind wants to know. I confess though that the Blue ones are my favorites , after the Icelandic Whites.

Right now I am consolidating around my Icelandics, I will have 3 small flocks in the spring if all goes well, one with Isi and his hens, and two with one each Rooster from Mary NotaFarm, with a couple of her pullets and my pullets. I am really hoping for some crests and rose combs this coming year, and some really interesting colors.

Life is good, and better with Icelandic Chickens !

I wonder if you could stir in some chopped-up candy corn at the end, or do you think they would just dissolve?

Wait 10 minutes before putting in add ins.

The Candy Corns might partially melt--Maybe not appetizing.

Yes I can make more, but I can't send many eggs, as I only have one hen. She's molting right now, so it would need to be in the spring.

I'm thinking of hatching some of these mauve colored eggs, she's in with my barnevelder rooster, and I'm wondering if that combination would deepen the color.

You probably could, but they might get mushy. It's like a soft serve consistency. The kids really liked it.
