As I said before Mary, he gets what he deserves now. Your hens will be so much happier once they realize he is gone. Sorry we couldn't talk longer.
he'll get what he deserves . chickens in the wild there will last maybe 1 night

Mary that sucks! I'd be upset if that happens too. Not much you can do however.
I love Sci Fi but I read everything! I used to do reviews on sell ability when i was in the book industry. The only stuff I don't do much on is westerns and military history. I don't follow battles well.

I'm a big re reader too. Right now I'm rereading Mary renault.

Mary, I wouldn't give a second thought to a rooster who behaved that way -- he absolutely will get what he deserves.

I don't like horror, fantasy, magic, supernatural, or science fiction. Never have. Ohhh, I take that back - I did use to enjoy time travel shows.

I liked westerns, adventure, some action and crime solving and other mystery types, romantic comedy (Overboard with Goldie Hawn was one of my favorites). I like good documentaries, but now days they are not very truthful, so that takes the enjoyment out of them.

My taste has changed alot over the years. Currently my favorite genre is history, religion, and biblical history.

I don't watch TV, and haven't for a few years. I don't miss it either. Funny thing though, when I do see some things on TV - I kinda get surprised (or shocked) once in awhile. (I just saw a Victoria's Secret commercial - and I honestly thought it was porn, with those nearly naked girls!) Mike watches TV, and I just can't hardly stand it. It just seems like noise to me (loud background sounds all the time). I am rarely in the same room Mike is in, unless he turns off the TV!

He loves the sci fi channel with UFOs, aliens, Big Foot, etc. Cartoons really disgust me, too. My daughter thinks her babies need to watch them. They are horrible, in my opinion.

I do read alot now.

You have had a really rough year. I think it is time to break things up a bit.

Find a good western or two and read them. Get a copy of the original True Grit Movie and the new one and watch them.

You say you enjoy reading the serious books and that is fine and true but you need to read something for fun too. It is like a reward and you will be better for it.

My lip is better this morning, thanks. The cut on my finger is red and swollen. Have to watch that.

The project girls were out and about this morning with their new coop mates, 8 BCM juveniles. Only 6 will be staying because three are boys. Farmer Fred will get the extra boys when they grow a bit.

I moved the little Icelandic out of the project coop and into the coop with my original Icelandic's last night. One of my project girls hatched and raised it. I also moved a little Partridge Barthuner juvenile from the Cream Legbar coop into the Icelandic/Layer coop. Neither of those chicks are very happy this morning, looking for ways to get back through the fence from whence they came. They'll get over it.

After moving the five BCM's out of the brooder, I was able to move my brown egg layers to the bigger brooder and my four project babies up to a bigger brooder too. I kept them with an EcoGlow but took the brown egg layers off heat. It stays pretty warm in there and they are ready, I hope. BTW, please enter my contest to guess the breeds of my brown egg layers. Just take a guess if you don't know. There is a list posted of what breeds the most like are!

You are right! I think I may just do that, too! Thanks for the suggestion!

Ha, I hear ya, Kathy. I said to my DH just last week, "What have you got against quiet?" He has the TV on all the time, even while he is listening to something on the web with earphones on. Good grief.

I live in the mountains and I love the natural sounds around me.

Yes! Exactly! What in the world is wrong with quiet?! I like quiet!

Mike is taking guitar lessons.Well, he plays cords, but wants to get better. The guy teaching him is playing at a restaurant this evening, and we are gonna go listen to him. Funny thing too.... he asked Mike if he would be interested in playing and singing with him at some gigs next year. Mike's head has grown.

That's awesome. What kind of music? When I first started going to gigs with Michael I liked it. Then when I became the roadie I liked it less! Plus, they always played too loud for me. Impossible for people to even talk when they played. Everyone went out side to talk.
