I am positively giddy!

I live in a town that is right up against SF Bay on the east side, and we had a couple of nights that apparently made it down to the twenties. I can really tell the difference between the insulation in the Nevada house and the one over here. It isn't just that Bay cold is humid and Nevada cold is dry, it's that my Nevada house has two or more times the insulation thickness. If I leave the drapes open at the Nevada house when it is in the teens, the big glass wall will heat the house into the 70s, if not 80s during the day. Here in California, I have to have the pellet stove running 24-7.

About an inch here. I couldnt see a thing in my last chicken rounds - it is coming down hard!

the heavy stuff will be overnight. its cold here. 28
I am thinking we are in for 2 feet

I have nowhere to go, so I don't care.

My youngest is hoping for enough to dig a snow cave. I told him if we get enough, I'd show him how to dig one.

For those of you wondering why Mary is so excited, where she lives gets a good snow every 5-10 years. (most of the time more towards 10)

I grew up there and can recall one time in the 80's where there was enough snow to need chains. Other than that, we were lucky to get an inch.
