I have not had a day to myself in a VERY VERY long time.

Enjoy your alone time!

My meaties cleared out their feeder during the night, so they were a wee bit hungry this morning. They are 3 weeks and 2 days old.

And the little peanut that isn't growing much.
Wow,it's like feeding pigs. I've been considering getting some meaties.

Have fun Kelly! One of my girl friends and I are going over to Mackinac Island on the snowmobile for lunch, the ice is still 3 feet thick.

Here is the tiny little egg that either my last remaining Swedish Flower pullet or my little blue Silkie layed for the the other day - along side 3 large eggs

They certainly live up to the saying "pigs with feathers". They are funny to watch, and oh so messy. Shavings don't work so well with them. The pelleted horse bedding works MUCH better.

Beautiful eggs! BRRRRRRR on the snow/ice though. Have a great trip!

Kelly, I love that picture! OMG they do resemble pigs.

Pretty eggs mutts fan! Love the little pink one. That white stuff on the ground is scary!

You leave the feeders out at night? I was instructed that they would overeat and die unless I did "12 on and 12 off" (12 hours on feed and 12 hours off feed). Was I told wrong?

By the way- they are looking great!

They eat during the day and night while on heat. Soon, when they are off heat, they will only eat during the day. I was told to slow them down on eating at 4-ish weeks. Lost a couple the day after I got them, but the rest are doing fine. They snooze in the sun and run around. (well, as much as they CAN run)
