Praise the Lord!

I'm so glad!!!

Finally the camera worked tonight and I was trying to photograph mac and cheese.
YUM ... one of my favorite vices.

Hey, I found this. Is it posted on BYC anywhere? Kelly?
Thank you for posting this. I miss Bob. He was such a kind person.

Oh yeah....... I took a picture of my 6 chicks.....
So cute. I keep hoping that my girls from you will go broody. And another person with your birds is wishing that they would stop being broody!

And the figs were blossoming.
That's more growth than I'm seeing on my 2 year old fig. I planted it in one of the chicken yards for shade and have been babying it, trying to get it to grow.

I think it was a 3 or 4 year old tree when I planted it a few years ago. Of course, with the cold, the leaves will drop off. I'm hoping for a good harvest this year.

Good morning. Woke up to my April Fool's joke. SNOW! I grabbed my camera and took lots of video. Then got my second April Fool's joke when I tried to download the video and found my memory card lying on my desk instead of in my camera!

I love it- you pranked yourself and didn't even know it!

Aimee is doing great with her one porcelain d'Anver chick and her four hatchery chicks, but she's raised probably five batches of babies in her 3 years of life so I expected she'd do fine. I think someone made a boo-boo and sent me a Buff Orp Bubba instead of a Betsy. What do you think? I'm betting the farm on this bobtailed one being a cockerel. They're two weeks old. There are 2 NHs and 2 Buffs, supposedly all sexed pullets. Yeah, right. I already have him up in an ad, I'm so sure, having raised many Orp chicks over the years.

Good observation. If you only knew how much I loathe April Fool's Pranks and practical jokes in general. I just bent Kelly's ear on the phone going over it.

I HATE anything that puts another person in a position of feeling stupid. I think it goes back to childhood and some deep rooted insecurities. I never veer off the Stella thread on BYC on April 1st for that very reason. I just hate seeing the reaction of people after they were duped. I know a lot of people laugh it off, probably most. Some don't. They are the ones I feel badly about. I just don't get it. I don't understand how you feel good about yourself by humiliating someone else.

If you love practical jokes and those around you anticipate April 1st with glee, go for it. It's just not my thing.

That being said, I married an O'Brien, so there will be superglue on the toilet seat of my life.

I said "sent me". I meant that DH picked out two Buff Orps from the newly arrived shipment to Wayne's Feed and I guess he grabbed probably the only cockerel in the whole dang sexed pullet shipment. Figures, right? My Orp hens are too old and don't even lay now, except for Meg on rare occasions. They don't need a rooster at this point in their lives, though I know they missed Suede tremendously when he died back in 2012.

Haha yeah I'm not big on it either, especially mean/cruel jokes. Pregnant, engaged, you name it I'm seeing it on FB- and those things are NOT funny to some people yearning for those things. It if it's clever and harmless and they don't hold out the joke too long I find them amusing.

My mom did saran wrap on the toilet once, it backfired on her when my dad used it instead of us kids that sit down.
